THE BRIEF

The British Normandy Memorial wanted to boost visitor numbers and revenue around the 80th anniversary of D-Day.

THE SOLUTION

We devised a nationwide PR and social campaign in partnership with Standing With Giants.

At its heart: 1475 giant metal silhouettes — each one representing a serviceman who died under British command on D-Day.

We built momentum through five milestones:

  1. Construction of the giants

  2. Journey to Normandy

  3. Installation build (April 2024)

  4. First-look reveal

  5. 80th anniversary (6 June 2024)

BBC Breakfast launched the campaign exclusively, with further coverage in The Times, The Express, and beyond. A parallel organic social campaign amplified reach and drove engagement with the Memorial.
